Riley Park/Little Mountain is bounded by 41st Avenue in
the South, 16th Avenue in the North, Cambie Street in the West and Fraser
Street in the East. The surrounding neighbourhoods are: South Cambie to the West, Oakridge & Sunset to the South, Kensingston/Cedar
Cottage to the East and Mount Pleasant to the North. The "Little Mountain"
refers to the Queen Elizabeth Park area, Vancouver's highest point of
elevation. Queen Elizabeth Park is also one of Vancouver's most popular garden
parks.
South Cambie is a narrow neighbourhood stretching from
16th Avenue in the North, South to 41st Avenue, West to Oak Street and East to
Cambie Street. The surrounding neighbourhoods are Riley
Park/Little Mountain in the East, Mount Pleasant &
Fairview in the North, Shaughnessy in the West and Oakridge in the South.
South Cambie, along Oak Street between 33rd and 27th Avenues, is home to many
of the city's most popular hospitals. Popular shopping areas in South
Cambie start at Cambie Street and 16th Avenue, South to King Edward Avenue
(25th), and from Oak Street at 16th Avenue, South to King Edward Avenue
(25th).
