The West End of downtown Vancouver is a favourite
destination for many people, local and international alike. The boundaries of
the West End are Stanley Park to the West, Georgia Street to the North, Burrard
Street to the East and English Bay to the South. The West End is a mixture of
older heritage homes and many high rise apartment buildings, it was once
described as the most densely populated area in North America. English Bay
Beach is a popular gathering centre along with the world renowned Robson Street
shopping area. The West End is fast paced and attracts the younger crowd in
search of the night life.
