Welcome to the BLOCKWALK - Whistler/Blackcomb
page. Originally started in the mid 60s Whistler has grown to be North America's number one ski resort for five consecutive years. Blackcomb Mountain was added to the area in 1980. In the 80s and 90s the area has become a very popular all-season resort as well. It is also currently recorded as having the most expensive real estate in Canada this year. With the 2010 Olympic Games being awarded to Vancouver/Whistler real estate prices have already begun to climb. Along with the ski slopes Whistler Village has become a World Class resort area. Outdoor recreation, golf, shopping and dining are all easily accessible The drive is about 2 hours from Vancouver.
